SAMPLE ESSAY:
It is widely believed by some that educational finance should be allocated for upgrading the quality of computers, while others assert that these investments would be better put into the human factor, teachers. Personally, I agree with the latter statement and will present my arguments in the following essay.
There are numerous reasons why several people claim that the money for education should be invested in computers. First, these non-human devices can be operated by means of electricity, therefore they can function for hours on end to support students’ learning without much interruption. Human instructors, however, cannot equal these machines in that respect as they do need some hours to refresh themselves and then effectively deliver an inspiring lesson to their students. Second, computers have proven to be an ideal vehicle for access to the vast reservoir of information on diverse academic topics available on the Internet, some of which might even be unfamiliar to many teachers. Thanks to these online resources, students can easily enrich their knowledge, even without the assistance of their instructors.
However, I still hold a strong view that the authorities should direct these educational funds to supporting more teachers. This is because they can provide private tutorials for students who are not academically inclined , which is definitely an impossible mission for computers with pre-programmed lessons conducted in the same manner. Furthermore, human interaction could be another significant factor to benefit students’ academic performances thanks to group or team work activities in which students can hone some essential life skills such as interpersonal or leadership skills. Undoubtedly, most non-human devices are not capable of organizing interactive activities but can only deliver lessons mechanically, thus undermining these skills among students.
In conclusion, despite the assumption that money for education should be well spent on computers, I strongly believe that these sums would be better invested on teachers who can assist different types of students and provide them with real-life interaction as well as vital skills for their life.
