1. Tell me about the types of food that people eat in your country.
In my country, Vietnam, rice is the staple food . We often eat rice with beef, pork or fish and some kinds of fresh vegetables for the three main meals of the day. Besides that, there are also lots of national specialities , such as Pho or Banh Mi, that many Vietnamese love to enjoy daily.
2. How are the eating habits now in your country different from eating habits in the past?
Well, I think the most obvious answer here is that people tend to eat more fast and processed foods these days than ever. To be more specific, because we’re currently living a fast-paced life , we’re usually swamped with so many tasks and deadlines that we may not even have time to cook the meals ourselves, right? As a result, pre-prepared foods have popped up as the go-to choice for many people who want to prioritize their work.
3. How healthy is your country’s food?
Well, I guess the traditional diets in Vietnam are nourishing because they mostly include rice, meat, fish and vegetables as the main ingredients. Moreover, those meals are often cooked using healthy methods like steaming or stir-frying , which allow the food to retain most of its nutrients better. Having said that, many kinds of unhealthy foods in Vietnam such as junk or processed ones, burgers or something like that, are extremely popular among youngsters and busy people.
