To be honest, I still distinctly remember my first day of elementary school because it was such an important moment for me. My school was located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City , and it was only a short walk from my house. So, on that special day, my parents accompanied me to school, which made me feel very safe and secure.
As we approached the school gate, I could see other kids and their parents milling around . Everyone was having mixed emotions , but I was mostly excited to start this new chapter in my life. The school staff warmly greeted us and guided us to our classroom shortly afterwards.
At first, the teacher introduced herself with a kind smile and encouraged us to get to know each other. Then, we played some games to help us break the ice , and I started to feel more comfortable. I actually managed to make a few friends that day, and we shared our stories and laughed a lot together during recess .
At the end of the day, I was pretty tired, but at the same time, I was happy and filled with excitement. You know, making new friends made me feel like I fit in , and that made me really eager for the next day of school.
Looking back, that very first day at school was very meaningful to me. It was when I found my love for learning and started building the foundation for my education. Even though I was a bit nervous at first, I felt a strong sense of belonging and excitement in the end, which I was deeply grateful for.
