IELTS Speaking Sample Part 1 - Memory

Updated: Feb 22

1. Why do some people have good memories while others just don’t?

I think that lifestyle choices can play a vital role in  remembering things well. So, people who exercise regularly and eat healthily often have much better memory.

2. Why do more people rely on cell phones to memorise things?

Well, for me, I always set reminders on my phone for important daily tasks because the  constant notifications ensure that I’ll never forget what I need to do in a day.

3. Are you good at memorising things?

To be honest, I am quite bad at remembering things. When it comes to learning new English vocabulary items by heart , for instance, it often takes me a day or two to memorise them well.

4. Have you ever forgotten something that was important?

As an absent-minded person, I used to leave my sister unaccompanied  at the supermarket. At that time, I was preoccupied with  deadlines at work so I forgot to pick her up .
