IELTS Speaking Sample Part 1 - Laughing

Updated: May 7

1. What kinds of things make you laugh?

To be honest, I can find humor in everyday situations, whether it's a silly joke from my friend, a funny internet meme, or a  stand-up comedy . Anything can make me burst into laughter !

2. Do you like making other people laugh?

Absolutely! Seeing someone else laugh because of something I said or did brings me a lot of joy. You know, it makes me feel like I've made their day  in a small way.

3. Do you think it's important for people to laugh?

Yes, of course. Laughter is like medicine for the mind and body. It can relieve stress , strengthen your bonds with others , and even lift your mood . Who wouldn't want more of that in their life, right?

4. Is laughing the same as feeling happy?

I don’t think it’s always the case, actually. Laughter can definitely be a sign of happiness, but sometimes people just laugh out of nervousness or awkwardness . True happiness, I think, is a deeper feeling of contentment  and well-being that goes beyond just laughter.
