IELTS Speaking Sample Part 1 - Feeling Bored

Updated: Feb 1

1. Do you often feel bored?

Honestly, not really. There's always something new to learn or discover, even in daily-life activities. I'm currently reading and exploring new creative tasks every day, so boredom rarely gets a chance to settle in .

2. Did you ever find school boring when you were a child?

Well, that’s not always the case for me as I was only distracted when attending classes which I disliked. When it comes to my favorite classes, I am fully engaged in  the lesson. Plus, hanging out with my classmates is pretty fun.

3. What sort of things do you find most boring now?

I find repetitive tasks a bit boring. Sitting tight for hours of meetings with no clear agenda or spending too much time scrolling through endless social media feeds is definitely that type of task.

4. What do you do to stop yourself from feeling bored?

When I feel that my brain is getting sluggish , I like to shake things up . I switch between different tasks, take a walk in nature, or try a new creative challenge. Sometimes, even a quick chat with friends can cheer me up .
