Updated: Oct 17, 2023

Describe a family member who you spend most time with. You should say:

- Who this person is

- What kind of person he/she is

- What you usually do together

- And explain why you spend most time with him/her

Family relationships are an important part in a person’s life and for many people, their family members are actually the ones they can always turn to whenever they have problems. I’m no exception and for me, my elder brother is not simply a sibling whom I always look up to but more like a soulmate who’s willing to share the ups and downs of my childhood and adolescence.

Physically, he’s a lot taller and slimmer than me with a flawless suntanned complexion. Needless to say, he’s an outdoor type and a sports enthusiast who likes to take on extreme challenges. Characterwise, he’s a person with a heart of gold who's more than ready to support everyone when they're in dire need. He always enjoys the idea of participating in various philanthropic activities and never misses a chance to encourage others to do the same thing.

Especially for me, he’s always tried to back me up if need be and I’m so proud of him as he’s set an inspiring example for me to follow. Not only has he shown me what’s the right thing to do in life but he’s always happy to be an attentive listener anytime I need some advice as well. Undoubtedly, it is important to have someone you can confide in and I'm pretty sure he’s the one.

Frankly speaking, sometimes I just wish to be a bit like him, as I'm more of a bookworm and outdoor physical activities are not really my cup of tea. Even though we’re chalk and cheese, we still get along well with each other. Every weekend, we usually take a leisurely stroll around the blocks near our house or go to the movies to watch a newly released film. This is the time when we can share almost everything and get to understand each other more.

I guess I’m very lucky to have such a great brother like him and I know that many of my friends are still green with envy and always long for such an amazing sibling like that.
